70% of the students can do this, and 100% of the parents I have shown this to in my career, love it, and say they wish they knew this so long ago.
There is a simple way to add an icon to your iPhone or Android that looks like an app, but it’s for any web site or any web page within a website that you go to a lot.
So if you wanted to quickly go to HOFFKIDS.com or any website, this is better than bookmarking it.
It will look like an app like this:

If you have an iPhone, here is all you do.
step 1) Using SAFARI only, go to the website you want to make the icon for. In this example try it with HOFFKIDS.com since that is where you can see my math HW and other info you want to know this year.
step 2) Click the icon at the bottom of Safari that looks like a box with an arrow pointing upward out of it.

step 3) Scroll down until you see ADD TO HOME SCREEN + and click this (you can then rename or shorten the name of the page).

step 4) Click ADD in the upper right corner, and then go to one of your homepages with your app icons and you will see the icon there!
Think about a website you visit often or maybe you navigate to a site often and then click 4 things to get to a certain page. Now you can just make that “certain page” an icon and be 1 click away. If you have an Android, it’s a bit simpler. In Chrome browser, go to the website and click the 3 dots in the upper right corner. Then Add to Home Screen.

If you think you got this then I have an extra treat for you.
step 5) Click this button and go to this URL (it not just brings you to the Hoffkids homepage, but down on the page directly to my HW section on the homepage-no scrolling even needed)
If you’re the type that likes to watch a video on how to do this, here is a 3.5 min video showing this process:
If you have any questions, feedback, or want to let me know if this helps, please email me. Now go show your child how tech savy you are (there’s a 70% chance your child has already done it!)
