Thursday 4.5 Men/Women's 5.0 Singles SESSION 3 TENNIS TALK
Week #5 was awesome! The highlight was Brett and Valentina playing 16 games and splitting at 8 games each. The points hit shot #'s of near 25 shots in multiple rallies. Terrific tennis!
Pete made a stop in and was part of Adam's continued tough play. Please continue to watch the schedule board and give advance notice of any cancellations please. If you want to play on a certain date that is filled already, just let me know.
How can you not have an awesome week of tennis when Tom is back!! Thanks for making newcomers Mike and Valentina feel so welcome. Everyone had a wonderful time of tennis.
Adam and Rich were on "center" court and Adam was on fire once again. Hard to stop him when he plays this great. Valentina is getting back to her experienced hard hitting form as promised, and gave Garret a real run all night. Nice going Valentina. And a warm welcome to Mike as his first time at Park Ave. Tennis. He commented how beautiful the club is and seemed to have a close and enjoyable match for his first night. We hope to see much more of Mike.
2 more play weeks before Thanksgiving break.
Thanks all and have a great week!
Week #3 was special in that the owner Phil was with us all night (later joined by Karen) and it was an exciting night of some different matchups. Young Garret had an intense match with the always tough and experienced Adam. While Garret's mom looked on, the two battled all night.
Frederico filled in for his wife Valentina. Frederico and Brett had a great second set and I hope more in the future like that. You are always welcome at Park Ave Frederico. Thanks Sylvain for filling in at the last minute. Always fun playing with you.
All remaining weeks are filled; thanks again. Looking forward to all the new players coming.
Have a great week everyone.
Incredible second week with new faces on the courts. Valentina joined us for the first time and hit the hell out of the ball as she slowly finds her A+ game again. We are so happy you have joined us and we look forward to having you on the court as much as you want (and maybe the hubby too one night!). Not just were you amazing to play with but you (and your dad in from Italy) are so nice as well.
Paul made his debut tonight and had a tough match up with young Garret who is on fire lately. In addition, Brett and Pete were slugging the ball and had a nice classic Thursday night match like always.
Tom is off to a well deserved family vacation and will be missed. See you in November.
Thanks Karen and Phil; everyone who came in the club tonight raved about the beauty, quality of courts, and the noticeable investment- best owners ever!
There is 1 opening for this Thurs 10/25. Please let me know ASAP if you want it!
The first week of SEASON 3 at Park Ave. Tennis was a total success. Rich's reaction at the new lobby, mural, and bright modern lighting on the courts was priceless. Tom was there making sure the courts were in perfect ready condition and the staff was very cordial like always. The matches were close as they nearly always are, and defending champion Brett brought some of his superb shot making and consistency while young newcomer Garret ran Rich around for 80 minutes and the two walked off the court with smiles from a terrific battle.
It is easy to see why Park Ave Tennis is by far the most beautiful place to play tennis on Long Island. Our night has 11 guys this season and a lot of great competitors whose games are quite different and the guys are super friendly.
Thanks Karen and Phil for starting season 3 in perfect style.
Guys, there are just 3 openings left in the next 12 weeks so if you want to grab them now is the time!
